I've been invited to participate in the 2017 Spring Best of the Northwest. This is one of the best shows in the area and I love being a part of it.
Of course, it means lots of hard work. I have over 140 purses to make before March 25. That's a lot of purses! That's a lot of selecting, cutting, assembling, preparing, sewing and finishing for just 12 weeks. It's more than 11 purses per week!
Usually I get lots of purses made after the fall shows are finished but this year I was working on physical therapy for my knee. It hurt to do almost everything so I put my work on hold. But that's okay. I love my work and am ready to plunge back in.
This week I've been cutting out the felt and interfacing pieces that every purse needs for stability and durability. On Monday I'll begin cutting actual purses. I have some wonderful ideas for some gorgeous bags, so I hope everyone will join me on Saturday, March 25 and Sunday, March 26 for the Spring Best of the Northwest!
