what I've been working on this winter! This is the newest listing on my website. It's a hand embroidered Artisan Bag that I think turned out quite well. The rose is counted cross stitch and it looks beautiful with the pink/red hand dyed cotton from Karen Davis of Etsy shop Ruby Mountain Dye Works.
Karen's fabric is truly gorgeous! You quilters out there should take a look. She's at RubyMountainDyeWorks.Etsy.com. She has what she calls color wheels that are made in lots. Each color is a variation on the colors before and after it. It's hard to explain - at least by me.
What I like to do is get a color wheel, then cut strips off of each color, sew them together and make a purse out of the piece of fabric I've created. The effects are stunning!
I plan to use a lot of hand embroidered pieces as well as hand painted pieces as I cut and sew this winter to get ready for the summer shows. And, of course, I use lots and lots of Karen's hand dyed fabrics.
If you would like to be kept up to date on what shows I will be doing, check the website and then sign up for email updates. I will be sending an email a week or two before each show letting you know where I'll be next.
